Contemplating the Absurd through painting and sculpting of the character allows me to be playful and serious at the same time.
I began sculpting during my MA in 2018, with the goal of taking the drawing a step further into the 3dimensional – essentially a physical embodiment of the drawing.
I am currently focusing on sculpture and feeling my way with materials. Manipulating the clay is as expressive as drawing for me. I move the clay in the same way as I draw pushing, pulling, adding and removing.
